Its Wednesday...

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly blog post that was created by Jill over at  Breaking the Spines

Now, I don't know if this is cheating or not but I'm going to go out on a limb and just put this here. This book was just released today February 9th, and I must say that I have been waiting patiently for this book and it was the first thing I downloaded on my kindle app this morning when I woke up.

Morning Star: Book III of the Red Rising Trilogy
By Pierce Brown

Published February 9th 2016

From Amazon:
Darrow would have lived in peace, but his enemies brought him war. The Gold overlords demanded his obedience, hanged his wife, and enslaved his people. But Darrow is determined to fight back. Risking everything to transform himself and breach Gold society, Darrow has battled to survive the cutthroat rivalries that breed Society's mightiest warriors, climbed the ranks, and waited patiently to unleash the revolution that will tear the hierarchy apart from within.
Finally, the time has come.
But devotion to honor and hunger for vengeance run deep on both sides. Darrow and his comrades-in-arms face powerful enemies without scruple or mercy. Among them are some Darrow once considered friends. To win, Darrow will need to inspire those shackled in darkness to break their chains, unmake the world their cruel masters have built, and claim a destiny too long denied - and too glorious to surrender.

I have been waiting for so long for this book. Its going to be impossible for me to get anything done because I want to know so badly what happens. I really hope this ends well because.. well because it just has to.
Look out for my next post which most likely will be a review of this book.

2016 Resolutions

I wasn't planning on blogging at all. I was actually thinking of getting rid of both of the blogs that I have and just keeping my writing journal, but then I thought about it some more and I realize that I do want to keep it. It's like a long time friend that I check in on every once in a while. I know that I make these promises to come back and write and tell about the books that I am reading. While I may have every intention to doing so, I get lazy. Let me be honest, I am genuinely a procrastinator. I wait till the last minute for almost anything because I believe that I work best under extreme pressure. This might be true for some things, but when it comes to things like this (blogging) and other aspects of my life I think I need to let go of this procrastinator attitude and make moves.

Slump no more

I am happy to announce that my reading slump has come to an end. After months and months of not reading anything substantial or worth wild I have finally ended my battle with not being able to read. It was a long fought war between my inability to read what I wanted to read and my desire to read, but it looks like my desire to read strongly beat out the inability to read.

I will be looking to do book reviews soon because I am now reading like I have never read before.

I have two reviews to put up this weekend and both are from my favorite authors

1. Jennifer Armentrout ( I auto-buy anything she releases)

2. Richelle Meade ( I cannot seem to get enough of her VA series)

Look out for those..

Mid Year Recap

I started this year off on a great note. I had a goal and I was so determined to achieve it. I think I got a head of myself after last year when I had a reading goal of 50 books and thought that I could easily bypass this because I had so many books on my TBR shelf and there were so many books that were coming out this year.  So many books! Oh so many good books to read!

Fast forward to today August 14, 2015 and I have read only 4 or maybe 5 books so far for this year. I am sitting her in a state of disbelief because I have let the year go by and I have not been able to read as much as I have wanted to. Add to that I have completely neglected this blog, but that's not anything new. I have done this before so it not something that I can apologize for anymore. It is what it is.

The slump...

Its been forever since I've blogged and its all my fault. I have neglected my blogging life in totality. I am trying to figure out a schedule to blog, but when I get home I am just tired that I don't want to do anything but get into my pj's and jump into bed and play Candy Crush Soda Saga. I'm serious about that too. I'm addicted to that game.

Which leads me to this post. This year I am challenging myself to read 65 books, and do you know how many I have read so far?!? 4!! That's right I have only read 4 books since the beginning of this year. I am in a reading slump that I cannot find a way to get out of. There is nothing that I want to read, nothing that interests me at all. Though I find many books interesting and I watch loads of YouTube video's about up and coming books and of course I pre-order many of them there is nothing that I want to just jump into. Hopefully this slump is over soon because I really want to get back into reading.

How do you guys get out of your slumps?? Any good suggestions??

New Year Bookish Resolutions

Happy New Year!!

Another year is upon us and I am ready to tackle it head on. This year I do plan on being more proactive with this blog. I felt a little overwhelmed last year when I started this. I felt like I had to post twice or maybe even three times a week and it got to the point where I was going insane thinking about what I wanted to put on here. This year I think I'll take on a different approach to book blogging. I still love the idea, and I do love to read so this is definitely something that I want to continue doing, but I need a routine. I need a definite timeline of when to post and how often. I still haven't been able to narrow those things down yet, but I know in time I will get there.

Last year I was able to complete my reading goal of 50 books.. I actually surpassed it but I didn't log it onto goodreads. Oh well. Anyway, I thought about pushing myself a little harder this year and I added 15 more books to my reading challenge for the year. Yes I am aiming to read 65 books this year!

I have seen so many books that are going to be released and I cannot wait to get my hands on some of them. Also I have bookshelves with loads of unread books (255 to be exact) and I want to tackle those as well.  To narrow things down here is my Bookish Reading Resolutions for the year

October the month that was....

I think I might have over done it in September.

I'm serious, I think I might have gone a little book reading crazy in September because this month of October has been sucky. I am in a complete reading slump. With only one week left of this month I am trying to get back into reading. Hopefully I can finish this week with more than just one book on my plate. Here is to crunch time.
